Andy Fitze (born April 20, 1968) is a Swiss entrepreneur, investor, advisor, and sailor. He is known as an expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Transformation, as well as the founder of several technology companies. Fitze combines his experiences as an ocean sailor with his expertise in AI and business leadership.
Early Life and Career
Andy Fitze was born in Chur, in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Measurement and Control Engineering from the "Interstate University of Applied Sciences Buchs" [today Fachhochschule Ost] and an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen.
Fitze began his career in the technology industry, holding various leadership positions, including Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) at RUAG and senior IT roles at PostFinance. In 2015, he received the Swiss CIO Award as the best IT manager in Switzerland.
In 2016, Fitze co-founded SwissCognitive with Dalith Steiger-Gablinger, a company specializing in AI consulting, research, and investments. He is also a co-founder and board member of several technology startups and foundations in the field of AI and digitization.
In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Fitze is involved in various industry associations. Since 2014, he has been the President of the Swiss IT Leadership Forum, an association of IT executives, and since 2016, a board member of SwissICT, the largest professional association of the Swiss ICT sector.
